Selain itu laporan foto juga menampilkan proses menghadirkan air bersih bagi warga Kampung Ciwalengke, Desa Sukamaju, Majalaya, yang selama ini menggunakan air tercemar untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari.

Pola pengelolaan SDA WS 6Ci ini merupakan kerangka dasar dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, memantau dan mengevaluasi kegiatan konservasi SDA, pendayagunaan serta pengendalian daya rusak air di WS 6 Ci. Walaupun WS 6 Ci telah dipecah menjadi WS Cidanau-Ciujung-Cidurian, WS Ciliwung-Cisadane dan WS Citarum, Pola Pengelolaan SDA WS 6 Ci ini harus disesuaikan lebih lanjut.

Pola Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Air berbasis wilayah sungai ini bertujuan untuk menentukan langkah dan tindakan yang harus dilakukan agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dengan mengoptimalkan potensi pengembangan sumber daya air, melindungi/melestarikan serta meningkatkan sumber daya air dan lahan. Kerangka dasar pengelolaan ini dilakukan terpadu antar sektor, antar wilayah dan antar berbagai pihak terkait dengan pengelolaan sumber daya air.

The 6 Cis river basin territory faces daunting challenges triggered by rapid urbanization with potential negative impacts on the water resources sector if not properly addressed. The main objective of subcomponent B2 of the ICWRMIP within component B is to provide the IWRM planning process in subcomponent B1 and the components C and D (TA 7189-INO) with internally consistent quantitative spatial planning outputs based on the Java Spatial Model (JSM). Projections for population growth in the whole of Java are straight forward, but projections of growth in each village and related land use are more complicated. This model is used to provide spatial projections of population and associated land use changes for all villages on Java, based on population projection for Java and economic growth projection by province.

  Planning Interventions to Improve Water Quality in Upper Citarum River, November 2012

The report describes the origin of the pollution in the Citarum River, its effect on the water quality as well as the economic losses resulting from the deteriorating water quality. The report also identifies feasible interventions for improving water quality, and predicts the effect of these measures on water quality. The implementation costs and economic benefits of the interventions indicate a favorable benefit-cost ration of greater than 2. Finally, a road map for implementation in the coming 20 years is presented. The report preparation is part of Technical Assistance (TA 7189-INO) Package B of the ICWRMIP.

  Study on Effects of Land Use Change on Hydrological Characteristic of Watersheds, November 2012

The effect of changes in land use on hydrological characteristics of low and high discharges have been widely assumed to imply that decreasing vegetative cover would result in lower base flow during dry season and increasing flood discharges after storms. However, no quantitative data have been collected to confirm these assumptions, and information that correlates the land use change and the changing of hydrological properties is still based on hypotheses. Adequate water resources management requires confirmation of this kind of relationships to assess the relative benefit of various conservation strategies. In component B.2 of the ICWRMIP 6 Cis Project, various strategies for zoning will be assessed.
